We have chosen easy (level1) trails, averaging 6-8 miles per day (10-12 km).
Some trails include an occasional moderate incline.
One of our tour leaders will guide you along the trails, and you can enjoy your walk at your own pace.

We rendezvous on the first morning in St. John’s and begin our week with a drive to Cape Spear, the easternmost point in North America. As we walk along the coast, we will stop for the first (of many) sumptuous gourmet picnic lunches, and then continue on to Petty Harbour, a quaint fishing community on the east coast of the Avalon peninsula.

We return to your country retreat in the afternoon – to rest and relax in your pleasantly appointed room, or on the deck, with a view of Conception Bay.

Our first evening will be a leisurely dinner at home, with an emphasis on Newfoundland cuisine, including a Newfoundland lobster dinner.

Each day following, we will drive to a different coastal destination, with only a delicious lunch by an ocean setting to interrupt your walk.

As part of one day, we will enjoy a boat tour on Witless Bay, where you may view humpback and minke whales. The boat excursion includes a visit to one of Newfoundland’s ecological reserves, home to half a million seabirds: puffins, black-legged kittiwakes, storm petrels, murres and black guillemots.

After returning to our summer retreat each day to relax, we will dine in St. John’s at various 4-star restaurants, where you will have the opportunity to sample authentic and delectable Newfoundland cuisine.
Two evenings will include superb meals at our retreat in the spacious dining room, with a view of the bay and a large stone fireplace, featuring exquisitely prepared fresh seafood.
One evening during the week is free. This will afford you the opportunity to dine where you please, and to stroll through downtown St. John’s to enjoy its quaint streets and interesting architecture.
Except for your free evening, all dinners are accompanied by personally selected fine wines.
On the 6th day, you will be taken to the airport for your departing flight, or to your destination in St. John’s, should you decide to extend your visit to Newfoundland.
